Hat's off to you guys, the weather, as usual for the AR, was awful...

What this has taught me, is - never book a weekend out on the bike, when the sv650 forum has it's annual ride out :-dd *snigger*

Yes, last year WAS like camping in a swimming pool.

However as you said, 06 was fine and 04 was great - so 50% good 50% bad does not make it "as usual"

Stop being so picky Mr S:rolleyes:, I know what he meant:D

but what I have learned [please note correct spelling, OP - my turn to be picky:-dd] is that:

if you pay attention to the weather forecast you'll never do anything
that getting wet in a field and on the way round and on the way home is actually terrific fun, and
that come hell or high water I'll be there (wherever there is) next year:p

AR05 in the cotswolds was fine too. Just the last couple of years. As for last year, what do you expect when you go to the Lakes. How do you think the lakes got there?

Anyway it wasn't real rain was it. just a little soft drizzle most of the time.

Well except for that wall of water we encountered on the way home that meant i could just make out the bike in front and nothing else.

What most of you missed was the electrical storm that passes over the field we were in about 4.30 on sunday morning. A little rain, no thunder but LOADS of pretty lightning. Storms are ace when you're somewhere dry :D

As others have said, I dont think the weather was that bad either.

It was dry for the majority of the ride-out on saturday which was brilliaint. Ok it rained on the way home and for the rest of the afternoon, but I still had a good time :D

The only time I got a bit pfff was going home on sunday in the rain. People's faces when me and matt stepped into little cafe for brekkie *giggles*

Bring on AR09!
