My poor wee bike died on me this morning (K5S pointy), went out as usual for work, used alarm remote to off alarm, poped keys into ignition, switched on and....
Just a neutral lamp and LCD backlight, nothing else.
Tried a few more times but just the same! An awful feeling of panic washed over me (Finance ended last nmonth so it's all mine now) not a month after its 3 year birthday please!.
I jumped to the conclusion that the alarm immobiliser was goosed as the bike would turn over, all lights - indis, pass, hazzard - work ok but no LCD display.
One quick call to the Ebike recovery helpline (RAC) and had a van outside in 20mins (Having just called work and booked a day's holiday on the fly).
10 mins later and a phone call to his 'Bike Specalist' contact and he pulls out the 'FUEL' fuse, replaces it and smiled.
OK i'm glad its up and running, i'm ashamed i didnt check ALL the fuses in the fuse box, but seriously, WTF use is there calling a fuse 'Fuel' if it affects the bleeding LCD dash!
Anyway thats my morning rant over, just a friendly warning to any other poor soul this happens to.
Oh, and i'm just praying (for an agnostic thats some feat too) that its just a 3 year old dodgy fuse and not an underlying issue (Have a few 10A spares now too)....
