Blue or Yella (curvy)?
I have decided to sell my 'Blue_SV650S' roadbike. I have the full kit for a yellow bike (took it off my track-bike when I got it).
The yellow stuff is in better condition.
No BS about 'yella ones are faster' etc  I am purely talking about which colour is worth more/would sell quicker. I can obviously swap the yella stuff on there and update the V5 (this is perfectly legal/ok).
both worth the same, yellow may be worth more if plastics are better
i would buy a yellow one, but not blue

IMHO the blue is a more desirable and much nicer to look at colour. So thats the one I think you'd sell easier.

I suppose it doesn't really matter then, I might as well make it a yella one as the yella stuff is in better condition :)
I wonder what a poll of colours would bring up ... that's prolly an idea ... if one then outstrips the other, its clear which colour to make it, if they are roughly the same, then I'll go with yella!! 8)

Blue would probably sell quicker as it is a more sedate colour, I would buy a yellow SV though but I already have two.
Also bear in mind there are more colour matched clothing out there in Blue than Yellow for all the sad gits that must match their coloured bike!

Are you planning on selling the spare plastics anyway? If so I'd have thought pristine plastics would fetch more separately, than on a bike, so sell it with the lesser condition plastics...

A blue bike will probably be more desirable. But seeing as yellow bikes are rarer, good condition yellow plasitcs will probably be worth a lot off the bike.

No, not planning on selling them ... I have one final SV to put the remaining set on ... i.e. my current/remaing track sv ...

Why don't you put yellow and blue fairings on, mix and match ... sell it as RARE one off LOL
But I would sell it as it's original colour, what the V5 says it is, sell the other fairings separate.

I was on the hunt for a yellow one, when i got my insurance money through. Curvy nakeds are like hens teeth. Mine is a blue one with the yellow plastics. As for blue being faster than yellows, I know they aren't, this one is slower than my old one which was a REAL yellow one not a yellow wannabe :smt019:smt081:thumleft::thumbsup:
Yellow curvy will sell better.
If its a new rider - and typically it is I think they will be looking for something a little flashier for the cash. Yellows look racier and a little more exciting than the blue one. A bit like the yellow Lambos, Porches, Ducatis... etc
There's any easy way to find out which sells better.
Advertise the bike twice, once in yellow clothes and once in blue clothes!
Then see how much interest each generates :D

I'm gonna convert it to yella ... if they are in short supply, it means that the few ppl that want them will be gagging! 8)

Bear in mind that Suzuki converted many Yellow and Red SV's to Blue to help shift them back in 2000.
