....you touched an iron for the purposes of de-creasing your clothes?

This poll is brought to you by me, whilst I was considering the hardships of housework last night.

This poll is anonymous so don't be ashamed :D

FYI, this is an iron for those of you unfamiliar:

I like ironing to a point. I find it quite calming, but i can only do an hour stint at anyone time. However, there has to be something good on the TV at the time.

I do it when I have to and that when I've ran out things to wear then it takes about a 3 hours stint to get it all done. I keep trying to do little and often but i always find something better to do - like pull my finger nails out!

You must have alot of creased clothes...

Anyway, Jax does mine. Even though I tell her not to bother, if it can't be shaken out or I'm having a job interview I don't see the point.

You know what, when I was at school, I had name tags in uniform and P.E. kit. She draw the line at socks and underwear though, said that was really sad.

I have pretty much never touched an iron or the washing machine, my girlfriend kerry does it all, as she can do it quickly and much more effectively than me.

I'm not old fashion' women should do that' though, we have our roles, She cant cook, so I cook and wash up every night, then other house cleaning is pretty much split equally lol.

I think I've got an iron somewhere... no ironing board though.

I never use the iron so it's not an issue.

Wow, that certainly proves that I appear to be in the male ironing minority.

I'll lodge a formal complaint I think, before continuing with the ironing tonight :D

I draw the line at ironing pants though.

One of the reasons I work is to get my clothes laundered for me. Come back nice and pressed. And for the bedclothes, I have a cleaner.

And from what I have heard, keeping the stains off them is a full-time job for her!!!

Weekly - I do the ironing weekly. As Captain of my ship, I allow myself this worthy privelege .

I do not iron socks or pants.

I do not put creases in jeans.

Upon completion of my favourite job, I then use the board part to go surfing...honest.:D

I am the one that does the Ironing in my house. I find it theraputic!!

Every Sunday night I must spend at least 4 hours doing the ironing for the week. No socks or pants though. My wife then has to sort the kids out while I iron.

It annoys me when I spend all that time getting the clothes nice and crease free and my kids mess them up when looking for a specific top.

I let my wife do the ironing once and had to go over my work shirts as she did a terrible job of the creases on the sleeves.

I take stuff out the washing machine and put it straight onto hangers. I don't tumble dry, waste of energy. If your clothes are still creased put them on sooner, the heat of your body smooths them out.
