Hi all!
New poster to the forums!
Loads of information around about SVs, it's great, and everyone's so friendly and helpful!
Bit of me...
I live in London and at some point got fed up of the tube... tried buses, after a while got fed up again... ](*,) While on the bus I could envy all motorcyclists passing by.
So decided... it's about time to get a bike! Had my motorbike driving licence for 10 years but never drove one seriously and regularly - a rookie.
Did my research ... the correct thing would be to start with 125 and build up. But to be fair, don't like their look (too small) and sound. Anyway, it would be something to have a few months and swap for something bigger.
But then ...I discovered the SV... :smt112 and read that some people took it as a first bike. So I read more and more about it...Good for beginners, great commuter (what I needed in london - 13 miles/day), great looks, quite cheap. Saw her live a few times, as a begginer her size was still concerning me a bit  ... but... I ended buying a SV650 K3 in April.
I must confess the first few rides were obviously quite a mission, specially the one I had to do 40 miles to bring her home - all went smoothly though. I am not a big fan of speeds and I do respect the bike a lot.
Now, 1500 miles later, it's been a fantastic bike! I learned so much... the first few weeks couldn't even think in doing filtering in London, ever :smt009...but now I'm confortable with it :). On every ride I'm always learning and enjoying it at the same time. :thumleft:
All the best,
See you around!
