First bike on scene - First Aid

Hello,

I'm going to do a BikeSafe course shortly, but I was wondering if FBOS aid is different in any way? Probably more focus on spinal injuries?

And the age old question, helmet on or off?

That's exactly my take on it.

Basic first aid plus:
- Helmet removal the "safe" way (also details on when it should/shouldn't be done).
- RTA first aid (spinal injuries etc etc)
- Details that help the emergency services better
- Possible some scene management (ie, make the scene safe by managing traffic before you attend the casualty).

I'm doing BikeSafe with FBOS in a couple of weeks. :)

helmet is a difficult one.. if its a matter of life or death, it's coming off one way or another. If the person is calm and breathing whilst its on, it'll obviously stay where it is.
