Isn't red bush a herbal tea i.e not caffine and not a diuretic and probably not so bad for you??
You might have a bit of a Caffine problem...
Nope I'm wrong Unlike other teas, rooibos is naturally caffeine free, so there is no chance of side-effects such as irritability, anxiety, headaches, insomnia, increased blood pressure and gastric problems. Rooibos also contains less than half the tannin of black tea (Camellia sinensis). Tannin can diminish the body's ability to absorb and store essential iron and proteins, which are especially essential for growing children and women. Tannin is responsible for the bitter taste of other teas, so there is little need to add sugar to rooibos, therefore reducing the risk of tooth decay. Redbush also does not contain any free sugars, and in fact recent research shows it may even prevent tooth decay.
But even with the half the effect of Tannin in the tea, thats still alot.

I reckon I go through about 6 cups a day at work, plus a coffee in a morning and 2 or 3 brews each evening. I currently have 6 different types of tea on the go at work, Green Tea, Green Tea with Peach, Green Tea with Pear and Apple, White Tea, White Tea with Cherry and good old Tetley's.

It's caffine free.

It's made from the leaves of the Red Bush plant (South Africa). It does have good qualities, including allergy relief and stress reduction (allegedly) other than tasting good.

Point is? It's not alot of fluid and porbably not that bad - unless you have 12 sugars or something, in which case your well on your way to type 2 diabeties

Three cups of filter when I get in
At least another two or three before lunch
Three/four cups of tea in the afternoon.
Cup of tea when I get home, cuppa before I get to bed.
Also have about 2.5 litres of water, so **** like a horse.
I know the last bit wasn't pertinent but I wanted to share anyway, as I'm generous like that :-D

Depends if I'm in the office or out and about.
I'll have one maybe two cups of tea before I leave the house and then usually about three or four coffees if I'm in the office. After that I usually stick to three or four glasses of water. If I'm travelling I might have one coffee during the day and a bottle water.
I used to be filter coffee mad, eight or nine cups a day but I've weaned myself of it. Can't say I feel any better for it, though
Two cups of coffee when I get up.
One when I get to work.
Three during the day at break times.
At least a couple of cups of coffee during the evening.
Ten a day, maybe.
I hardly ever drink tea.

A cup of citizen grey when I wake up, a proper coffee on the way to work and herbal tea from thereonin (and saves the faff of having to buy and keep milk at work).
Am trying to encourage Mike to cut down as he's on about 6 mugfuls of espresso a day (and he smokes). His family are prone to heart disease and I don't like the idea of him kick-starting his with a hefty dose of caffeine and nicotine every morning!

I have 2 coffees in a morning, and i dunno how many teas I have after that. I can't drink tea first thing, as for some odd reason it gives me really bad gut ache on an empty stomach:(. So long as I've eaten later in the morning I can drink tea til whenever.
If I'm out I am quite partial to going in a nice coffee shop, if I use my caffetiere at home I get carried away with coffee, and, start buzzing a bit tooo much for dizzy to handle:smt103
I stopped drinking tea and coffee as part of a detox diet a few years ago; the headaches for a week or so were unbelieveable. Since then I only drink green tea, with the odd Latte ever now and then.

Heh - I tried to cut out caffine a while back - didn't enjoy it one bit.
However, I keep thinking that I should cut down on it as I've had PVC's for the last couple of years, induced by the amount of caffine. Still, have been told they're not a cause for concern so f*ck it :-)

i drink coffee one after another so i hate to think how many cups i drink a day?
PVC's
? What's that?
I have one cup of tea when I get to work, one coffee mid-morning, one tea around lunch, maybe one in the afternoon. Plus about 2-3 litres of water. One cup of green tea before bed.
I tend not to drink tea or coffee in the early / mid evenings, it gets in the way of my alcohol consumption :p
EDIT: Just googled PVC's - I know of the condition but didn't know the acronym! I get a bit of that now and again but I've never bothered about it! A friend is a cardiac physiologist and he said most people get them now and again

I drink a 2 litre bottle of coke during the day and another in the evening, amongst the 8-10 cups of coffee also.

You do know there's caffeine in tea right? More than you'd think!

Wow really, is that why my teeth chatter.... ;-)
But as he said, its almost the same at coffee, unless you have that Redbush stuff Hovis mentioned, then you also have to deal with the Tannin, which ain't good for you either. Redbush has half as much Tannin as normal tea.

It all depends on how generous/tight the customer is and what I'm fitting on the day. Conservatory's are normally help ya'self, patio doors/doors and windows can very between 1 every hour to 1 every 5 hours. If I'm making the stuff in the factory then hardly any because I'm normally the one making the tea and I don't like drinking my own. :D
