i went past one today @ 65 in a 60? whats the tolerance for being over?

Was it on the bike? I didn't think they could get bike registrations because they are front facing.....?

dughhh 10% so that will be a genuine 66MPH not 66 on your spedo (realistically 62ish) so you are fine chances are its set so you would only be gien a ticket if your speedo showed above 70.

I think it is the 10% but plus one, so you'd need to be doing 67. And never met a cage who's speedo didn't over-read.

If you got no points you will get offered a Speed Awarness course from the Council, my mate does it so I will have a sneaky word with her. She gets the info before you know so don't worry too much.

Accept the course and you get no points.

Its 10% plus 2 down here in the big smoke !!! Thats the ACPO standard. What with speedo error and the 7mph leway you should be ok.

i've been "caught" at a registered 56 in a 50 (pulled out to overtake a slow moving lorry on a dual carriageway) and registering the wrong side of 40mph in a 30 (downhill section just as you come into the populated area where it's sensible to slow down and not half a mile back where the limit begins:rolleyes: - set up every summer to screw the tourists)

nothing came of either, and unless you're taking the p*** or they're a bit low on "solved crimes" for this month's stats i doubt you'll hear anything of it...
