I read some write ups - reviews on the resort and specific hotels..

says a lot of the staff are grumpy and surly but that is mainly comments from Americans who I think treat hotel staff like something off their shoe and deserve to be given short shrift..

I am always polite and make friends with the staff and tip first day even when its all inclusive so ya think if its a be nice to them its reciprocated kind of thing?

done a couple of caribean cruises mate and found them better than staying in one place,Brill to wake up everymorning as we come into dock at a different place

We stayed in the windom roes hotel spot on it was full of our colonial cousins and they was very ignorant to the staff!! The locals are very polite and work very hard for poor pay!! Id say they are the nicest people you could ever meet!! Watch out for the touts and dealers as you leave the air port though!! Just say no thankyou politely and walk away!

Interested in this myself also, currently contemplating a Jamaica holiday with the missus for early next year. We've got a few options from the travel agents, but from what I've read and my experience in Carribean, it looks pretty damn sweet.
