View Full Version : Leather trousers for short people?
I'm after some leather trousers, but the initial problem I face is that I've got an inside leg of about 29". I tried some on in Hein Gerricke but the knee armour was half way down my shin.
Next problem is that I'm a poor cheapskate, so where can I get them cheap, or maybe I'll wait til some end of summer sales.
I'm not fussed about knee sliders, but want knee armour.

I suffer exactly the same problem as you but i have to couple it with a 40inch waist. I found that if you get a zip together 2 piece when you zip the jacket into the trousers it pulls them up a considerable amount and whilst my knee sliders look like they are on my shins when im walking around when im on the bike they are in pretty much the correct place.
Another thing to try which i did after buying my leathers would be look at getting some from america as the majority of riders over there are short and fat like me. I ended up getting some joe rocket textile trousers and they were the only company i have ever seen which actually do different length trousers, ie a short medium and long leg length. Whilst its not actually done by the inch the difference in the 3 sizes is pretty significant. Worth a try at least. I dont know of any uk retailers for them though.

I noticed that RST do short legged jeans in Woods of Abergele the other day. Black only in that shop. Try the RST website?
