We came home from a weekend away once to find what looked like the hairy glove off of a gorilla suit in our sink. My brother doused it in lighter fluid and fire-bombed it. I was just rooted to the spot. I've still not seen as big a spider in the wild since.

Spiders are beautiful amazing animals, they keep down nasty pest numbers by eating the horrid flies and bugs.
If you want to be scared of a foul and nasty animal, be afraid of one that moves into a new area, breeds vast numbers, pollutes it's own environment, kills its own kind, leaves filth everywhere it goes and causes extinctions of other species...
Be afraid of Cats...
or people...
:toss:
I took the **** out of someone about being scared spiders once, and he said its aright for you, heights don't lerk in corners and jump out at you... lol. He's right, but then I have fought my fear, even as far as sky diving.

In my garden a while ago. (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=97789)
Dont like them all that much, its the quick house spiders I hate, there is a few in my house the size of your hand pretty much.
I left a spider on the stairs this morning when I left for work.
I got up yesterday and found a big one (about the twice the size of a £2 coin) trapped in my kitchen sink, so I picked it up and put it outside. It didn't come quietly at first but eventually realised I wasn't going to leave it be and climbed onto my hand itself.
Its so much better when they cooperate...
I Hate spiders! if treacles arround i usually get him to "rescue" me by removing them-if hes not...well out comes the dyson...
