cos I'm going to see Mamma Mia tonight:D

Sophie was staying with friends last week, saw it and brought home a soundtrack CD. She thought it very funny that I knew all the songs from first time round, it brought back memories of when I was about 17. Yes I liked Abba then and I like them now:cool::cool::cool:

I really can't imagine why anyone would buy a CD full of ABBA songs that are sung by actors. Just buy an ABBA cd .

On a marginal derail I came across "Last Choir Standing" on the BBC tonight.

It reminded me of watching Deal or No Deal for 25 minutes before I understood the plot, just with this, I couldnt take more than 3 minutes.

That said....

There was another program on another side (forgive me, I don't watch a lot of TV) where they had a whole "audience/contestant" singing the same song, each with their own microphone, which they could zoom in on, and tag with the persons name..

It was ...... a disaster.

I still have no idea "who won"

It IS brilliant. I wasn't expecting it to be funny, but it's real laugh a minute stuff. The cinematography is ace - set on a Greek island, the colours are fantastic, the scenery is exactly as I remember Naxos. Production is slick, and the pace is fast throughout. Good acting from everyone except I thought from Sky (the fiance) - I thought he was a bit wooden. The songs - well, foot tapping happy stuff that you'll find it hard to resist singing along to:D I wish I could play the piano better, I'd love to have a go at playing the songs, but they're w-a-a-a-y beyond me. Nicely choreographed, too.

I can't accept a gay Mr D'Arcy!!!! (Colin Firth - he played Mr D'Arcy in Pride and Prejudice). When he makes out with the Greek bloke it is just so funny.

No real action bits as such, just great entertainment.

8/10 I think.
