So last night I went to watch a moive last night and I had paid for me and my buddy to watch a moive and as go past the tickect point the guy there said, you can't take your helemt through, I was like what, why not?
So the idiot manager walked over and said you either give us your helemt or you can't eneter....He didn't know why he was taking my lid, either. So I asked him again, he said it was was trip hazard. How is it a trip hazard in an empty thretre where I am sat on a row with just me and my friend?
He didn't know what to say, he still said I have take it, I pointed out to him to use common sense, at this point he turned bright red, yelled at me and flapped some more. So I gave him my lid, I wanted to see the moive. I said would you give me £500 for a new lid, if it was damage or stolen, he made no reply.
They promised the door would be locked, coming back out the door was unlocked. They also said when they took pssesion of my lid, that they wouldn't be respoisnable for it!!!
I was well ****ed off:smt094:smt091:rant::smt013
I don't think a I being unreasonable here, I am laid back person, but this just wound me up. Anyone else agree or disagree?

Dissagree.........Mama Mia is ****e film! :-s;):D
Well I've turned up at 'Vue' with a group of bikers before and they have offered to store our gear for us, but then there was ten of us. They where polite and chaty with us, so maybe you just got unlucky or you have a face that people argue with. ;-)
Oh and the door was locked, but we did advised them that they needed to be carefull as it was a few grands worth of kit laying there.
Yep, had a similar thing with the Odeon in Southampton. When we got the lids back they were scuffed and knackered, and no come back. Next time someone asks I'm gonna demand a deposit to the full value of the helmet. If they say the trip hazard line I'll point to the number of people with backpacks walking in unmolested, and if they still act like retards I'll get my money back and go see the film somewhere where the staff don't have their heads up their arses!
You went all the way to Southampton and didn't pop in...

Never had a problem in central London with having my lid with me - it generally fits under the seat out of the way.
Ended up front row @ the Tottenham Court Road Odeon and it made a good foot rest :)
I would ask for a refund if they refused to let me take it in at that point and walk away.
I have never been to a cinema with a bash hat. I either go by car or public transport

Ive never had that problem at a cinema and if they said they wanted my lid i'd simply refuse. If they dont have signs up advising you about this before hand then they have no leagl leg to stand on.
Ive been having this recenltly with a couple off arsey staff at my local Asda, most of the others dont care if i wear my lid in ther as i only pop in quickly and i go there almost on a daily basis too.
I told the guy about having to have a notice up and he simply said "i dont care about all that, just take you lid off or we'll refuse you entry". I told him it was tantamount to asking me to remove any item of clothing and that is an unnaceptable thing to ask cstomers, however if there is a sign advising me of this before i come in the store then its my choice to go in or not...and if i go in i must abide by their rule.
If the cinema does not display a sign then they have no right to even ask let alone demand and be rude about it. The diks!

PMSL but i do have a better plan. As the colder weather draws in i'll be wearing my full face balaclava more often and if he asks me then i'll be more that happy to remove the lid and leave the balaclava on while walking about the store

I lock my lid's strap on the under seat lid whilst going to cinemas, so have yet to experience this problem. I'd probably of insisted on taking it in and promised to hold it on my lap and ignored their protests and walked past them into the screen. If they followed you in an threatened to stop the screening, I'd of insisted on a full refund for you and your mate and then left. As spidey says, without signs to the contrary, they have no grounds to keep your money otherwise.
As an aside, was your mate in a car? If so, I'd of locked it in his boot.
Just say "No, I was planning on robbing you so what makes you think I'm taking my lid off."
