Went out last night with a mate to get some pictures of me on the bike getting my knee down, sadly my camera monkey was struggling to get any focused shots and he clearly can't pan! Any way here are the pictures blurred to the max

I had just mastered the art on my old CBR250R last year and then promptly put in the side of a volvo so i never got any pictures taken. I'm getting the knack back, still a way to go to be as good as i used to. I can only do it on the right at the moment but i used to be able to do the left aswell. I'll keep trying though. What do you reckon?

I thinkm next time, i may either employ better camera with a multi shot function or use a better monkey!

does look pretty cool all blurry to me though!! would be good if some were in focus as well, but still cool.

Obviously your camera monkey was going for the all-action-blurred-on-the-move shot...and here you are slagging him/her off. Shame on you!

I quite like the pics except for the one with the dozey looking dude in it, lol.

Appologise if said dude is a friend/partner/ another monkey of yours ;)

Take the odd looking dude out of the third one and leave it as it is and that is a pretty cool photo.

Yeah i do like the third one, my favorite, in the full size picture you can make out the word "Arai" clearly on my lid amongst all the blurring. Oh and said dozey dude, is in fact my camera monkey's dozey dudette girl friend lol, i appointed her "Chief traffic control inspector person"

The monkey was not totally to blame. When there's no available light (it's night) it'll be more difficult for the camera to have a decent exposure so the shutter is left open for longer in an auto mode, hence the blur. Try it in the morning in better light and it'll be all good.

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for the tip i'll try that sooner or later.

I don't really know weather to say thanks or b****cks to you lol

If its the first one Cheers matey

If they were focused it'd be a damn sight easier to decided if it was good or not i suppose! At the end of the day i suppose, i've only been on a proper bike 2 years now so i've got plenty of time to get more experience! lol

Well in that case does she not know that girls in close proximity of bikes / bikers getting their knee down should be wearing very tight lycra or bikinis... and holding umbrellas?

Girls eh.

G; where in notts are you? I'm near newark, do you know Caunton?

G
13-08-08, 03:08 PM
Yeah live 5 minutes from Caunton, although to be fair, although I have been shown the 1.5mile stretch of twisty stuff on google maps I have never been on caunton road between the A617 and caunton if that where you are about to mention? Caunton curves is it?

14990
13-08-08, 03:53 PM
Yeah thats where the pics were taken! If you come from the 616 heading to the 617, they are the first 4 bends. It's my favorite road cos i used to go to college at Brackenhurst and i used that road every day. I know it like the back of my hand and like to think i can hustle down it quite quickly! Where about are you then?

G, i beg your pardon, i looked at the thread about the barge and realisded you'd already told me where you live, you get your engine back to running order then?

You could always try rear curtain sync fill-in flash, but that would take a lot of practice to get right (and not all cameras support that). Would look amazing though.

I've no idea what you just said but i'll try to get better pics. I managed to get the left knee down today, first time since my prang!

14-08-08, 02:42 PM
Sorry, rear curtain sync flash is a mode some cameras have that will allow the shutter to be open for a length of time (inducing the blurred motion) and then fire the flash just before closing the shutter, which will make the subject appear "frozen", but with a trail behind it. Hope it's clearer now.
