My crack has gone.... [Archive] - SV650.org

I had a crack on my lowers at the engine fixing bolt area.

So i had an idea to fix it.......

Soldering Iron across the crack to bond it and then using a cable tie, i melted it like you would with solder and fixed it over the top of the crack.

Good as new now :D

Just had to share my handy work with someone......:cheers:

was it a cable tie ,or one designed for plants.
If you would have asked me I could have supplied you with the tools and weld that is used for vinyl floors.

May have melted the cheapo SV plastic used on pointies though

It was a cable tie. The crack was only half inch if that, and very thin. ;)
