Question: how much is a front end worth?

thinking of doing a gxsr front end swap.. or might go with emulators, if i go emulators it wont be for sale.

K8 front end with 4miles yes 4 might be up for sale

it will include everything exept grips, leavers, controlls, mudguard and ignition barrel.

will include forks, yokes+bearings, clipons, wheel+discs+tyre, wheel spindle, calipers, screws+bolts for everything and hoses.


so how much do you think its worth?

You'll get more splitting it bud.

£150 for the wheel
£150 for the Forks
£50 for the disks
£100 for the yokes
£40 for calipers
£20-40 for clip-ons
£20 for the spindle

So looking at about £5-600 if ya split it or probably more like £400 if ya sell it complete.

Just my guesstimates by the way, not gospel.

Come to think of it I'd shell out £600 for a full front end if it's completely mint but it depends on whether I get hold of a set of yokes before you decide to sell.

Already done the ebay thing - narrowly missed out on yokes and rear subframe last weekend - nothing else on there at the mo.

Got a set of yokes from svspares bit they're pretty corroded / scratched and I want my bike to be as mint as it was before I binned it! Trying to avoid the new route (ie 600 notes for subframe and yokes) but am getting impatient :mad:

Rub the yokes down and spray them up again, should be relatively easy to do, just make sure you cover everything you don't want sprayed!

just to update ... i have gone the gsxr route... so the WHOLE front end is up for grabs in about 10 days from now.

i am not selling the grips (but may include a pair), top castle nuts and washer, controlls bar end weights and ignitian. everything else will be included.

i would like to recover some of the cash i have spent doing the gsxr swap.

so i can put a rough price of say £500 for the lot not including postage.

i will however deliver within a 60-70 mile radious of kirkcaldy in fife for the price of my petrol or if i'm going near where you stay it'l be for nowt, i'm always in st andrews, haddington and edinburgh areas.

all you would need to fit to an sv650 would be your controlls, ignitian (i'll even throw in the bolts and if i'm feeling in a realy good mood i'll throw in the security torx bit) bar ends and grips.
