Taking the kids to see this movie today....
I know my daughter is really really looking forward to seeing it... (She doesn't know that shes going today to see it) but I think I'm looking forward to it very much myself...

So fellow .orgers who else on here is a closet "Star Wars" Fan...

1) Richie.

PS, when the first Star Wars film came out ( A New Hope, epIV) "back in the day" I saw it 109 times... at the last count...
I think for my young padawan (DVD makes it far easier) has seen all of them about the same number of times by now...

I went to see the first one with my whole family. I went under protest as a rather sceptical 16 year old....................but from the moment the film started, I was hooked.

Not sure about this new animated film though.

I own
The original VHS Videos
The Original VHS Video box set
The upadated video box set
The special edition Video box set
The DVD box set
Parts 1-3 on DVD
Parts 4-6 on the new double sided DVD

So no, cant stand star wars. Lost count how many times i have seen it. For the time, parts 4-6 are still mind blowing.

As for the cartoon verions.... hmmm, im not so sure it all looks a bit japaneese anmi for my liking.

Dont forget this is the 2nd thing called Clone Wars.

There was an animation done a few years back that was drawn by the guy that did Dexters Lab.

That was quite good.

Oh and found this - its amazing how music can improve a scene like the Gungan Vs Droid army battle :)

More of a batman fan myself and think the last films are ace much better than the previous ones which were too unbelievable. Batman Begins is the best. Star wars are great to see at cinema as well making the most of the big screen. The newest is computer made one isn't it not with actual actors? Should make fictional scenes more doable I guess, I'm sure it'll be great.

I won't be going to see it. I feel I've given George Lucas and Fox enough of my hard earned over the years.

And don't get me started on Lucas...!

It's not distributed by fox any more, this one is universal's fault. I haven't heard good things about this one.

Whats REALLY scary is that I lost touch with them for a number of years and she "jumped" from 9 to 16.

Now THATS scary.

Oh and just to let you know Viney, her mum used to train Spear units for a Re-enactment society :)

+1

The music still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

LOVE The Clone Wars cartoons, but this film has got lukewarm reviews.

The kids are keen but I might wait until DVD or a cheap Sat am screening....

Yeah- just read that tonight. Along with a lot of VERY bad reviews. I think if I saw this one, I would have to publicly burn my SW dvds and film it for YouTube.

The "Hair dryer heads" - "roger roger" seam to be too comical in this one.
There too much action fighting secquences, and it was a cack story line.
The Kids loved it... but I felt robbed. :-(

If your a true Star Wars fan over the age of 14 then don't bother watching it...
