Afternoon all,
:smt039
Haven't been on the .org for ages and in the interim have moved from Cambridge (hello to Skip and all the EAR's) up to the Peak District (Shirley nr Ashbourne to be exact).
I used to have a silver pointy and now bimble about on a black R6. Hope to meet some new faces to learn the amazing local roads with, so any local meets I should consider (I am well aware of Matlock!) give me a nod.
Cheers,
Si
Hello and welcome to the Midlands. Here's a little linky for a route me and a few from the Mids did not to long ago.

No I couldn't mate, I was at a party and didn't go to bed til about 3:30am, woke up feeling like I'd fallen off at the Karussel!

WOH WOH WOH, might be willing to act as part of a group to arrange. Not much experiance of this kind of thing. Usually point the front tyre and drive.

The only thing is for someone to know the route. So if someone can navigate with either thier memory or a GPS then all thats left to do is tell everyone else a meet place. Sorted.
I think when we actually come to do this we should adapt the original route and add a little on to it. It didn't take us that long from Bassets Pole and round again. I'll have a little play around with Google maps. What does everyone think???

I think yes

I think YES!!! We can always post a meeting point and invite others via the Forum. We could call it ' Blind leading the blind'
We could call it ' Blind leading the blind'
:D I'm sure we'll get lots of interest if we call it that. ;)
How about the Bassets Pole Massacre or Midlands Meander???:stupid:

What about Tuesday, if we do the rideout from the original map we can do that in about two and a half hours andif we head off early enough we could rendevous at BP for the meet on the Tuesday evening??? :smt071

Tuesdays sound good. I can't do the evening as my partner works and I babysit. But the day sounds good. Where do you want to meet? I can google maps it.
Thinking of doing a rideout like the route shown before this Saturday if the weather is passable. Myself and DMC may be in attendance. Who else would be up for this if everything pans out ok.
Hopefully i'll be sporting a new exhaust by then so will be eager to take the bike out. [-o<
P.S. Something like this

Binky,
Thanks for the invite. Working this weeekend and next so will be eager for a blast after that. Will keep in touch
Why don't you rename this 'The Can't Make a Decision Thread';)
Just come on MM2 on Saturday 4 October. All organised, route planned, all you have to do is turn up. You can even meet us at Quatt cafe (as SHS did last time round) if you don't want to come as far as Shrewsbury.
There. Just as well someone can get things done:D
Well Oiled

Hiya - I'm only about 15 mins down the A52 - live in Mickloever. Cos of other commitments (work travel and family) I'm an occasional joiner-in, but if I'm free I'd be glad to go along for a spin.
Cheers Keith

...although it's starting to get darker now.
