Which shock fits ?

i hear some gixer rear shocks fit the curvey SV can anyone tell me which models fit ?

Get a proper SV shock or even better get an Ohlins mate, ride a GSXR and Ohlins fitted SV back to back and you will agree with me.

Do a search (http://forums.sv650.org/search.php), many people on here have fitted GSXR and ZXR shocks to there bikes.

I agree with DD *BUT* the Ohlins is very expensive, if you want the most bang for your buck then GSXR750 shock is good. I paid I think 20quid for a GSXR shock (and lots and lots for an Ohlins). I noticed more difference in the std to GSXR than in the GSXR to Ohlins.

I had a 96 GSXR750 one which fits but needs the tank bracket and battery tray hacking plus a few spacers to sit the undertray slightly lower.

It does have the advantage of being slightly longer than standard which is good (unless you have short legs!)

You have a curvy, the GSXR shocks will be too 'soft' for you (or are you like 7st?). You want a ZX shock, they have a stiffer spring than stock curvy SV.

I you use the search, you will find a list/table of all compatible shocks, their lengths and spring rates.
