View Full Version : HnadGuards and LED Indicators
I've been looking at the other SV and trying to figure out where I was going to put the front indicators. Then it dawned on me to put them on handguards, as the indicator mirror things I think will just not work. So I need to a thin stip of LED's maybe 8 long and one or 2 indicator high, as my search has drawn a blank.
Anyone else might know of some?

You can chop them down to smaller bits - 6ft is the cheapest way of getting them
And where theres a will, theres a way

I'll bundle my couple of inches in with yours to save on shipping then...
That sound a bit kinky.
2x 4.7" orange should do the trick... sweet. Under $20 with shipping and cheaper then the stuff I was looking at over here.

No need Grinch.
Thanks to the help and support of the Soho Massive I am able to stand up here, in front of everyone and say
"My name is Soulkiss and I'm a LED-aholic, Its been 67 days since my last LED order, some Sidelights for my Z750 in UV"
One part of me says UV LED's lighting up the Zeds engine would be soo cool, the other bit yells CHAV!!!!
So thanks, but no thanks Grinch :)
Cool, time for some chav tastic fun with my SV then... oooh.
Chav's the lot of ya's!
The only LEDs on my bike are for the alarm, or the extra pair of indicators I have (since my high level can obscures view of the right indicator).

i'm not an LED-aholic, i'm an incandescentaphobe
just need to get some LED indys and side lights and the whole SV is a filament free zone...
You MOT'd it with those HID's in???
I'm not a chav I just want indicators.

what's an MOT?;)
SV won't need one until May 2010, KTM October 2009, DRZ Feb 2009;)
if i did have problem, the wiring is such that i can just bung the stock bulbs in and plug the old connecters on the back of them:cool:

I've got some similar to this somewhere in the garage that I bought off ebay a while but ended up fitting mirrors with indicators. The ones i've got were pretty good, nice and bright and very flexible
Do you want to sell them?

No worries. I would say i hope you have many trouble free miles from them, but they're pilot races and may only last you to the shop and back lol
Just thought, these would not pass a MOT would they?

Can that idea, they only take Visa, Amex and Master card. I'll have to have a look about for another, hopefully a UK on... oh well.

Another one too, http://www.litewave.co.uk/led_tape.asp
But that's as I use them in circuits, not just to look chavvy. :) The LED Tape is 3M self-adhesive, which will probably be a huge advantage putting it on hangduards. :)
