Hi Guy's
I know I'm new on here but was wondering if someone could inform me.
Just had my SV nearly 1 week now and when you blip the throttle (sat at lights) it can misfire now and again. Is this something I should really worry about or just a niggle that I will learn to put up with?
Thanks:smt039

your carbs need balancing
Yep, sounds like it needs a balance... Either that you've had the jets done, put in a race filter and added a race can and the carbs are all mixed up now, so needs tuning in.

Cheers. I think it's only the can which has been changed to a Viper one.
Quick question I have a set of gauges and a haynes but can you point me in the right direction of which parts I will need to take off etc to get to the carb spigot thingys :p

Andy if you jump online you can get hold of them pritty easy and good ones at that. Also you could pop to a few bike shops they usually have them in. It's worth doing yourself saves about £45/£50 a time.

Question still stands on the carb spigots etc :p :D
Carbtune sell them direct for about 50quid... which is about what they sell on ebay for.
The rear spigot is easy, just follow the vacuum line from the fuel tank to the rear carb base, take it off and plug in there.
The front is slightly more involved. It's right at the front of the carb blanked off with a rubber plug, if you get a torch, and squint, and point it up behind the rad to the back of the front cylinder then go up a bit to the carb you should see it but it's a complete pain to get to. Get some 6mm rubber piping and connect it on there and leave a length hanging down, blanked off for easy access next time. I had the carbs off when I was looking for mine so I added the tube then.
