Woohoo after months of procrastinating ive finaly bought myself a Wii. Yay!!!

After some practice i'm soooo better than my flatmate and i regularly kick his bee-hind.

And now i've fugured out how to get online with it i need some freinds (or even fellow orgers will do) to play online as opposed to the ramdom bods i'm encountering.

So who's up for a bit of online Mario madness?
:D

My Wii is not yet online (although I have Mariokart for it), but I will probably sort some net access out within the next 2 months or so and then will definately be up for a game.

Oh good god yes!!!!

And bloody proud of it too, lol.

I'd rather be at home playing video games than out wasting money and getting drunk which seems to be the only other alternative open to me after work :D

Just bought a Wii last week, I don't have Mario Karts but do have Mario and Sonic at the Olympics and Wii fit....they are great :D lovin' the Wii

So Mario Karts is a pretty good game then? Not gone on line with the Wii yet ... what's it like for gaming on line ??

Mario Kart Wii on WFC is great fun. Up to 12 players from around the world, or you can have a private room with just you and friends in it, or you can join a public race but have your friends join you, whether on the same Wii or on their own over the net.

I'd quite like to give Guitar Hero a go over the net, but don't actually know anyone else with the Wii version so haven't been able to. Rubbish.

I got pretty good at MarioKart, but haven't played it for a couple of months (lack of time due to baby Wyrdness). I'll send you my code and I'll see if I can make time for a few games.

Karts is excellent! I'm sure the Wii fit thing is pretty cool too if you make an effort with it, the boxing got me all out of breath so i can imagine you could have a decent aerobic workout if you wanted to.
But the Karts are all about fun an sillyness. And the WiFi thing it does is so good you'd swear the peeps must be sitting in the other room playing on your console with you!

Good, good. Send me your code by PM if you do :D

Yes, Wii Fit is excellent. Its detractors can criticise it as much as they like for it not being as intensive as some workouts, but it is the best thing I have come across for improving your balance, much more so than simple balance boards. The first time out on my casterboard (2 wheeled skateboard) after a few hours on wii fit's balance games and I improved immensely. Previously my COG was far too back and this was what was causing the board to shoot out from under me on grinds. As I was now aware of this, I was able to correct it and can now consequently grind more than 3x as far as I could before.

I was put on a Wii fit board at Harrogate to improve my balance! I ended up buying one myself and wii love it! Mario Kart is ace, not online yet, but will get around to it one day.
