I have a K5, i'm not sure if the toolkit is missing or if i have not found it yet.
Where should it live?

littlr black box sits just under the rear half of the seat on the left side
a pain to get too also.
Mine lives under the pillion seat on my K5, cos I chopped the fugly toolkit box off the bottom of the battery box so a K3 hugger would fit properly.

Mine was under the battery!!!!
Mine was under the battery!!!!
That's what BBadger was trying to describe
Just incase anyone is left in any doubt, if you look at the middle of your chain, you should see it in a compartment behind the chain. (Which is under the battery, but you don't have to remove the battery & look underneath it )

yey i was right for once.
a new all time high.
still its a pain to get to and your better off taking most of the things out and using your own, although the tools arnt half bad comapired to alot of the pricier bikes that come with bugger all.

Thanks for all your replies,I found it.
I was convinced it was missing.
I would not have found it without youd help and probably bought one to put under the seat.
Cheers
I spent ages looking for mine,i nearly went back to the dealers to complain.

I'm glad to see that i am not the only blind idiot.
What a stupid place to put it!
Stupid is not reading the owners handbook first

I've seen the little compartment under the battery before, and I've had the seat off when I was fitting the tail tidy, but I don't have a clue how to get into the tool kit? (and my handbook is 35 miles away in my office)
any advice?
From the left side of the bike, above the subframe rail is a knob on the battery box side, pull that, open the lid below and remove the toolkit.
