interesting new style of lid there. Must have had a nasty bump to be out of it like that. Apart from that i presume you came off with just bumps?

Sometimes you brain just takes control and after the fact goes "Trust me, you don't need to know this!"
I still can't remember the specifics of my big bad off - a clear gap from prior to evasive manouvers until laying in the road being asked if all the gear they had piled up infront of me was everything I had... but I was apparently concious and lucid the entire time. Even twenty years on it gives me a queasy feeling in teh pit of my stomach if I try too hard to recall anything in 'The Gap' - so I simply trust my brain and figure it's right - I don't really need to know. ;)

I hope all your fingers and toes are still attached - to the correct bits - and that they are also still attached to the all important torso.

That's rubbish. You're okay though - that's what counts. Did the driver accept the blame for the accident?

steve.s
24-08-08, 04:24 PM
he said he didnt see me, but cus i carnt remember anything i carnt claim against him, its his word against mine and witnesses, but they carnt be rellied on apparently. police took statments from people there who said i did nothing wrong, he just didnt see me, and they left it at that(i think they said it was a taxi)

dirtsk8
24-08-08, 04:36 PM
That makes me want to spit. He said he didn't see you - so that's that?

That's bullocks. You need to get yourself some legal representation.

'Dirtsk8', why are your crash bungs in the wrong place in your avatar???

Get hold of the police report on the incident.See what it says and take it from there. If you made contact with the other car and you "did nothing wrong"then you must have a case.If there was no contact it will be harder to prove, but might still be worth it.You will need a bike specialist lawyer.

You will need a bike specialist lawyer.
Bromiley Holcroft (http://www.bromileyholcroft.co.uk/Html/home.htm), I have used them once before after my first big off and they dealt with that amazingly. They are currently dealing with the case following my last big off too.

'Dirtsk8', why are your crash bungs in the wrong place in your avatar???

That's how it came when I bought it.

I looked into moving them, but the L/H one is a stud rather than a long allen bolt. It wouldn't come out of the frame, no matter how hard I tried. In the end it was less hassle to leave them be than change them.

GWS hun Woozle hugs.

Liaise with the police in relation to any action they take against the other party, they are investigating and will be able to say if witnesses give them a case for due care.

Have you got legal cover in your insurance? I wouldnt let them take that attitude unless there is no witnesses, they should be contacting them for a statement at least.

steve.s
03-10-08, 10:09 PM
err no i have no legal cover, didnt go for that extra same as not having leathers insured. ok its been a crap week, found out bike written off, not good but at least finaly sorted out, now been diagnosed as being diabetic, i just get one thing sorted out then i get something else go wrong.

ive taken a nice amount of skin of my right hand, and a bit of my left arm, and right knee, they didnt bleed cus of the friction burn off the road seald them.

How did you manage to get these injuries when wearing leathers???

steve.s
12-10-08, 06:25 PM
the one on my right hand was because my gloves came apart, and the left arm, my sleave rose up abit and my knee ?, this is only a guess cus when your unconsious you dont know.

Dangerous Dave
13-10-08, 07:11 AM
So badly fitting leathers then....

steve.s
13-10-08, 07:07 PM
what dont your sleaves move then or are they so tight. most peoples sleaves move to expose the wrist.

Dangerous Dave
13-10-08, 07:12 PM
The zip on the forearm is designed for you to put your arm through when undone and not when done up, no my sleeves do not ride up.
