Shiny that downpipe, then it should all be fine :)

Bit of T-cut and gaffa tape and you'll be running in no time!

I would suggest just hitting it with a hammer to get it running...

... but it kinda looks like that been done to it already. ;)

At least it should keep you in the garage and out of trouble for a bit.

Have you not got the OEM exhaust which you could bolt back on?

Subframes can be brought back to shape with a good bend.

While I'd normally agree that you can, that looks like quite a nasty crack in the rear subframe and I never sucessfully managed to straighten a curvy front subframe[1], it was never quite right.

[1] I have no idea what the pointy one looks like.

There are professional metal workers that have never sucessfully straightened a pointy front subframe - they're also rarer than rocking horse poo to buy on the cheap!

Unfortunately, you're looking at £160 for a new OEM one. But console yourself in the fact that it's not the plastic tabs that hold the headlight to the front subframe, the OEM cost of that is £240!!

The curvy ones are a right git. Northwind managed it I believe by sort of building a jig around the bike in an ingenious fashion.

The rear doesnt have so much stuff to line up, so I'd be tempted to just rag it back to straight with a scaff pole and weld the crack up.

Feck! I thought it was expensive after I bent my curvy 'S' front subframe and broke the headlight in 2000, no one seemed to have broken an intact bike back then so I had to buy new.

110quid for the subframe and 120 for the headlight!

I've now got about 3 slightly bent curvy front subframes...

Looking through ebay today there are some cheap full systems on there under £100 for both oem and replacements systems.

Only fix things that will mean the bike is safe and road legal. The service for the most part can be done by you. Also drain your tank of fuel and the fuel systems too.

If you want spare parts places like JHs racing could be useful as they build SV's for racing so they could have bits lying about, you never know until you try! Thats what I would do if were you, good luck with it.

Every now and then a cheap straight front subframe comes up on ebay. I bought one for my bike and found I didn't need it - I sold it to Baph for what it cost me. Headlights, rear subframes and front ones can be got from people like JHS, as Mr Thunderpants says. I got an immaculate undamaged pointy headlight from them for 75 squids. They told me at the time they have quite a few undamaged pointy road bits kicking around from roadbikes they've converted into racebikes

I have no idea what Baph did with it, he might have given you his one and used the one I bought and sold.

I've still got stuff left over from the crash rebuild, I'll sort it all out and stick it up for sale once I get everything out of the lock-up and moved into my new workshop.

Just to clear the above up...

I thought my subframe was bent, so got Lozzo's. When I stripped the bike I found it was the plastic tabs on the headlight unit that were broken, so I kept the original subframe on my bike.

Kwak, you got Lozzo's subframe, for the same price as I paid for it. Lozzo dropped it off near enough at my house, I dropped it off at Stormy for you. :)
