Hey all, new member in need of help shocker!.
:D

I'm having trouble with a 99 SV650S i have here, its totally bog stock with no mods.

It has been standing for the best part of 2 to 3 years on and off...i was asked to get it up and running again. I fitted a secondhand tank (original had rotted out), gave it a service and fitted a new battery and everything was hunkydory.

A couple of months back i flattened the battery after acidentally turning the park light on with the steering lock...the battery was removed and charged up at work, all okay.

Fast forward to last week and the owner has booked the bike in for test
, i refit the battery and ....nothing...

I have no ignition lights, nothing. Power seems to be getting to the starter relay and no further...theres no power at the ignition switch...all fuses are okay.

Help!.

Cheers, Jon.

Have you checked the main fuse on the solenoid? Often missed as it's not in the fusebox.

Have you connect the live and earth on the starter relay the right way round? Live should be to the left/rear.
