I seen them advertised and my mate claims to have seen something (at the only point I sped to overtake on the whole trip :(

He said it looked like a 3 sided camera thing. One front, one back and one to side.

I didnt see it even when I looked on the way back after he told me where it was, so is very stealthy.

Ive searched the internet looking for any info on this but cant find anything... Im hoping it was some sort of Tax camera or traffic camera. There was no flash at all. There were no camera signs except out side of the track on the way back where it said stealth camera's in use... But this camera/thing was about 50 miles from the track.

So what are these stealth camera's? Do they exist whats the craic...

Cheers,

Nick

I've heard the same rumour and live in Lincolnshire but haven't spotted one yet

Best I've seen so far is a van with 2 cameras out the top - not the ANPR van though

Probably turn out to be a urban myth ;)

Not one of those... Wasnt a van. Was just a thing on the side of the road.

Erm... Im going to talk to him again. Now think about it I saw a weather measuring thing you know temp and wind etc.

A little like this. I saw one of these around where I think he said he saw a camera... http://www.edie.net/products/images/2890.jpg

I might still be wrong though. :(

don't worry about it, unless you were doing some stupid speed all you're going to get is 3 points and a fine, your insurers won't give a toss, i bet the majority of people have got points now and £60 compared with the cost of maintaining a bike is nothing. tbh to me now, points are just a fact of life, like a puncture, if you ride your bike normally you'll most likely end up with some at some point, the hysterical anti-speeding campaigners have managed to completely devalue the system...

some of the weather stations have cameras on to monitor weather. (doesnt sound very exciting!)

as its already happened i wouldnt worry, not a lot you can do. Unless you plan some destructive action!;)

if you had enough visibility to make 120mph safe you should have seen the camera a mile away...

There was no one there... I think it was a weather monitor so imagine looking for one of those.... you wouldnt.

Not to worry anyway. :smt012
