just wondering if anyone could tell me which way you twiddle the headlight adjuster screws to make the headlight beam go up and down. I need to set them a bit lower, but having had a 20 minute twiddle this morning I couldn't seem to make much difference to the alignment. I'm wondering if i've wound the adjusters out too much and they need to be re-attached.
I was expecting anti-clockwise on screws to lower the beam, clockwise to raise?

Cockwise - Rasies the Beam
Anti-Clockwise - Lowers the Beam
Turning the adjusters to raise the height fully is actually doing up the thread so they will not be detached.

Cheers for confirming that for me Dave, it sounds like by turning them anti-clockwise to lower the beam I could actually have undone the adjuster screws this morning, hence little or no visible effect on the beam while i was twiddling.

Yeap, could have done but I am not 100% sure on how the adjusters are actually set up and whether they can be undone as such. See if you can have a good look at the adjuster, you'll need to remove the two side fairings though.

i've just done exactly that, and the adjusters are an integral part of the headlight unit. the h/light unit itself is "rigidly" fixed on rubber mounts to the sub-frame. so i slackened off the subframe bolts, and it dropped down. guess the subframe must have got pushed up last time the bike was dropped and i never thought to check. just got to readjust the alignment on the lights now after all my tinkering. cheers :-)
