And you'd also have an import that points it's lights the wrong way. ;)

Do DK now throw in a free Ohlins shock, AP brakes, dymag wheels... plus whatever it's had done to the swingarm. It's not worth the asking price but it's also stupid to compare it to a stock bike frankly, those first 3 things I mentioned alone cost more than my SV.

yea but the R1 is brilliant as standard, are those mods necessary? or worth the extra dosh?

northwind

Course they're not neccesary, but they'll make it a hell of a lot better. The guy's messed up by not posting a full list, since it's not a blingmobile most people will just scroll straight on.

But still, not worth the money. He'd probably do better parting it out.

i relise its not stanard and has a lot of extras......... but i donk think its worth the asking price

and why has he not stated all the mods>??

Christ it's like spot the difference....I didn't see anything with the swingarm *goes back to look*

It just seems to have those little paddock stand hooks on the end and possibly a different rear brake? Otherwise I couldn't tell it from a standard one, not that I know intimately what one looks like...

Those wheels have to be at least £1500? Id say the disc's and Callipers will have probably neen near £2000. :smt108 Ohlins shock maybe £700. Hmph.

The wheels will make it turn VERY well, itll be very niticable id bet.

Then there may be Engine work there too. A shame he hasnt put down what is done...

Another owner who doesn't realise that he'll never recoup the money spent on extras when selling !!

He'd be better off selling the trick bits separately & selling the bike as stock at a lower price - assuming he's kept the OE bits of course !!

Its the 12k of stuff and no details that really stupid, oh well.

Maybe he's done it deliberately so only people who can spot the bits will bid.

Even the pictures are tiny it's hard to see the mods - clicking larger isn't actually bigger for me :smt102

even with all the mods you are still buying relatively old technology for the price of a new bike. You think if he spent £12K its a full system with PCIII and maybe ignition mod. But even then he must have had engine work done for it to come that much.

Just re-red the wording, the £12K was including the purchase price of the bike so depending what he paid I guess £12K is reasonable. As The Vox said, you just never get your money back

I'm not sure exactly what's going on with the arm, it's either a fairly modified standard or a custom build. I'm dead curious now...

Someone needs to tell him to put his spec up so we can all see :D ;)

no one ever tell him that aftermarket gubbins do not inflate the price?

That bike has got a lot of mods!

Better if it was on a ye old R1, but thats a lot of dosh there!

"Including the price of the bike, total cost to complete is £12000"

So £4k of mods if he bought the bike new for £8k-ish. He's crazy for not listing them. Looks nice though.

Some do. It's not like a screen and a load of anodised bolts ;) But, not by this much.
