Hya guys..

need your help.. yet again!

Got hold of some R&G crash bobbins for the missus SV, but I was looking at them and dont have a clue where they go...

There's a big bolt that I figure out that goes through the engine, but each Bobbin support is a different shape... so I dont know where each go?
also have some metal spacers with rubber around and dont know where they go..
does anyone have instructions for them?

Also, can I ask someone to take pictures of their pillion pegs?
The bike came with an harris exhaust hanger and the pillion pegs in a box, but there's some big spacers in there (about 1") that I cant figure out where they go..

btw.. the bike is an unfaired SK4 650

cheers!!!

What type of R&Gs have you got. Is it the cup type where the bungs screw into some cups or do you have two metal brackets with two holes in each?, are they U shaped or just flat?

As far as i remember the pegs are a direct flush fit onto the subframe. The spaces may be if there the exhaust system is a highlevel and needs one of the foot pegs to be spaced out.

im not 100% sure, but i think they are for the fully faired, which will still fit

or remove the brackets and use the long bar

Really? Oops thought I saw the r&gs were £25, that gave me the impression all bungs were about that price. I'm new to all this. Might give 'em ago in that case!

Do they offer good protection? i.e are they worth it?
Might put an order in.

I've allways heard R&Gs are the best in the market..
have seen other makes where the bold has bent and even some can damage the frame instead of absorbing the impact...

I have R&Gs on my blade..

one side of the frame has a hole ....you need the big spacer in there and long bolt ( right side if your on the bike ) everything else the other side

Was just about to place the order but saw that inc. p+p it comes to £70!
Surely you could get a better deal from a local shop?

also seen many R&Gs on SVs fail and snap off, im only talking about the SV not how they are on other bikes, they saved the engine casing on my Kwak both times. But then again there are many people that have had R&Gs work fine on SVs. The motovation ones are very similar to the MotoSliders bungs which get a very good rating.

What about motrax ones any good?

again problem, they are mounted to the front engine bolts, long leverage point, easy to bend. From what ive seen they do work but then afterwards are a mare to remove, remebmer they bolt into the engine itself so a possable problem if they were to snap as the engine is also held in place by them. Im not sure, but the length ive seen do not seem to work well with faired bikes.

Dores anyone have pictures of these R&Gs I got mounted on their bike?

On the big bolt that goes through the engine, do I use the original nuts again??
errmm.. I think I have one nut missing on the R&G bungs I was given.... there's supposed to be 2 nuts for the long bolt included in the kit right?

In the nearest skip.

Whether Curvy or Pointy the best on the market today are Motosliders, available from here (http://stores.ebay.com/SV650-Racing-Parts) as they are out of stock at the manufacturers.

What about motrax ones any good?
No, they mount to the front cylinder mounting bolt and they fold like cheese.
