Bar ends

Ok quick and robably simple question. What are bar ends for? I mean do they serve a purpose or are they just there to protect the end of the grips?

They are supposed to cancel out vibrations in the bars. Whether they work is another thing - I lost one and never noticed!

Depends, if they weigh more then they might work a bit better.

You need some pretty weighty after market ones. I have replaced both SVs with some stainless very heavy weight ones, from 2 orgers. One set was specially machined for the SVs, but they don't do them anymore. The vibration has been reduced rather a lot
