Clearly you are more a BOFH than a BAPH.
To the uninitiated, the BOFH is a humourous character, written about in a funny manner.
To those of us in the know, he is a Messiah, and the articles are actually pages in a training manual/sacred text.
Those that seek enlightenment should start here - http://bofh.ntk.net/*******_Indexes.html and then progress to http://www.theregister.co.uk/odds/bofh/
Just seen the u-rating censor kicked in - the stars hide a word that starts with bar and ends in ard with an st beween them :)
SoulKiss... the .Org Educator.
Mods, can we arrange for his title on the forum changing please? Pretty please? :D
It's all geek to me boys.

I use Ubuntu and fedora both excellent. I only use windows for games but I would drop it in an instant if games ran on linux without WINE (linnie users you know what I mean )

Its been like that for ages!
I would say Linux is where Windows was with 98SE, some of it is really surprisingly easy. But there are time when you can spend half a day getting things to work. The thing is as stuff moves on people easy forget how hard windows was once to get working. I remember when you bought games for 98 and atleast one in ten wouldn't work or required some fiddling to get working. Even the early days of XP was like that as alot of the old software would not run or was not supported.
In fact if you take any 1 year old laptop and put a copy of Ubuntu (a linux flavour) I bet you it will install and all work first time. Something I have never managed 100% with XP.
The original BOFH stories were vaguely amusing, but that was about a decade ago. These days, anyone using terms like BOFH, luser and LART should probably be chained to a halon canister with a dodgy valve and force-fed printouts of ASR and old userfriendly cartoons until they rupture their colons.

are you by chance a bean counter? or worse one of those lusers who cannot be bothered to read the manuals and on line help provided to you.
BOFH taught me all I need to know. Now I am forced to work from home where I cannot be exposed to the "customers".
Thanks for illustrating my point.

They force you to work at home & accept that gift? Hard man to please...
Oh wait, sorry, I forgot who we were talking about for a second.
