One of those spur of the moment things - idea is that it will replace the dying Scooter :D ........all I need are some soft panniers and a screen (also at £1600 a few bits on the bike to be "tidied up")........and some louder pipes .......

.......and possibly a sidecar. to go with my pipe and slippers :smt115

Still have the SV650 :D. and still waiting for the Dealer to call with the parts from Suzuki :(

£300 should buy you brand new loud Triumph exhausts which look exactly like the standard ones. Nothing else looks right on one of these. Dont bother with the pipes they look **** within a week from new. Fit a 1 tooth bigger gearbox sprocket if you want nicer cruising.

Cheers for that. Don't want an automatic pull from plod - just more base.......I am Googling as we speak

Trying to decide whether I need Knee Pads on the tank. and a pipe holder :)

You wont get pulled with the triumph ones, on tickover they sound the same as the originals, when you get going they sound sublime, not like your average crap can. Also Triumph stamp not for highway use on them but cunningly underneath so no one will ever see it. No copper is going to crawl on the floor to look, how may Harley's do they do for noise. Graham

Looks really nice that, I think my next triumph will be something like that, from what I gather on another forum, triumph stuff is pretty good actually.

The coppers don't seem to care about old boys bikes around here, seem more interested in the race reps.

Been down for a Chat to the local Triumph dealer, tapped into the Computer........the exhausts I want have been discontinued for the Legend :(, but still available for the Thunderbird :) He thinks the Thunderbird ones will fit (and run ok), just a different shape - but "bring the bike down and will have trial look with 1 in stock" - sounds fair enuf......otherwise it is Google and Ebay I guess.

That is my thinking as well, plus I reckon the ability to knock it into 4th/5th gear and keep the revs / noise down if I ever need to ride past a sleeping plod .

Wouldn't worry about it if I were you, I've not had a problem at all with the race cans fitted, get yourself the ignitor unit from either trophy/trident/speed triple (T3's) and it'll give you an extra 8-10bhp and another 1000 rpm on the limiter, change the cams and close to 100bhp.

suspension is a bit limited, but works OK for what it is, and at least it hasn't the tarts handbag "blinged up" engine but the black one.

Lot of bike for the money though.

Cheers Mark.
