I have just bought a sv 1000 having owned a 650 for a couple of years. The forks seem to have been dropped through the yokes some 10mm does anyone know if this is a standard setting as my 650's sat flush and as I dont yet possess a manual for it ,thought I'd get some help here (hopefully ? :smt058)before I started fiddling. The bike seems to ride ok ? I'm not intending to go racing so was thinking of raising them back up the 10mm but will leave alone if its where there set as standard.:smt047

Please help

Oh it the limited edition by the way , if that makes any difference ?

depends what you want.fast guys and racers like to drop forks and raise rear.
pretty close to what 650 guys do.
however it is all personal preference, try and pick what feels good to you.

Just rang my mate who had one (Landan Sam on here, just sold it the other day), he says they were dropped about 5mm on his, he had it from new and dropped them himself at a later date.

They do pop through as standard. I'll measure mine tomorrow when I get up (Tue) and let you know because I have the SZ also.
