View Full Version : My new toy
I've been on here for a few months now but haven't been posting as much as I should! :silent: I thought I'd put on a few pics of my first big bike after I'd given it a clean. As you can see I've done one or two mods to it (the exhaust being the most satisfying!) I've owned it since I passed my test in July and I can honestly say I haven't regretted buying a SV650S for a minute! :)
I've moved on from this (which was a lot of fun believe it or not!);

BTW What a great source of information this site is. Keep up the good work!! :p
Thanks for looking!

someone's crashed it into a banana milkshake! You'll wanna wipe that off :P
very nice bike matey & welcome back to the forums. I signed up in march last year and posted a few times before getting rid of my honda and buying an sv in december. From then on I was on the site almost every day - it's addictive. Just watch out for a guy called gr33k. He's got an aprilia and everyone winds him up about it :)

The first pic of the SV looks like a hefty dent in the tank. Best of both of the best colours there too ;)
EDIT: Straighten your can strap to finish her off lol.

Thanks - it was like that when I bought it although I thought the black/yellow combo was quite nice - something a bit different but not too over the top (I hope!) ;)
As for the squirrel hunter trademark! Lol - No :)

I see what you mean. Must have been the way the light was reflecting off the tank. There's no dents on the tank (yet!) Assuming I don't bin it!! :shock:

As far as I can see, the can strap doesn't seem to fit. I had it straight at the start, but it wasn't supporting the exhaust properly. I have the bolt through the hole on the strap as near to the exhaust as the adjustment allows but it still doesn't seem to fit when I have it on straight... :confused: Is this a "feature" of Fuel exhausts for the SV?
Welcome. Looks like a nice ride :D
Thanks ;) I see you've taken a fair bit of stick on here for the Falco. Fair play to you for sticking up for something you like!!

i had a similar problem when I fitted my beowulf stubby can - the strap was a bit 'baggy' and didnt sit straight. I loosened the bolt on the strap and also the bolt on the link pipe, then gently twisted the can around a couple of mm clockwise/anti clockwise till it started to fit a bit better - seems to do the trick :)
next job: have a look in your local sub-forum "Total SV ireland" and find if there's any rideouts planned :)
