To post a link you just copy and paste it from the address bar in to the thread.

To post a pic you need to know the location of it on the internet and use the relevant BB CODE.

so it should look like this

{img}http://forums.sv650.org/images/misc/SV650Banner5_1.jpg{/img}

but using "[" and "]" instead of "{" and "}"

To make a picture a link is abit more complex lol.

in HTML:
<a href="linky.html"><img src="ham.gif" border=0></a>

I guess it's similar to BBCode, put an image inside a link code.

I doubt you can post HTML in a thread, most forum software wont allow you to do it to prevent spamming.

Whilst you are writing a post, highlight a word or a picture and then click on the atlas image above the text
http://forums.sv650.org/images/editor/createlink.gif
Type the URL address in there and click ok. When the post is posted you will be able to click the highlighted word or image and it will take you to the address you typed in.
