hey all,

im selling my SV650S K5 its in a custom deep silver that needs a bit of work for a nice cheep price :), let me explain

earlier this year i was in a slow speed accident, where i was pushed off my bike by a car pulling out to do a U-turn. all the damage to the bike is very repairable, however the insurance company wrote it off because of a small ding on its black frame. initially they offered to fill and spray the frame, however i said i wanted replaced rather then repaired. this pushed the fix price above what they were going to pay so they wrote it off

good points

21K miles, in full working order, always serviced by my self
brand new hagon front springs
new brake pads
GSXR 1000 k5 rear shock
michelin road pilots 2 only done about 600 miles
painted rear seat cowl and lower fairing
clear tail lights with intergrated indicators
original screen and exhaust if needed

replacement brand new parts for all damaged parts!

bad points

there is some damage to the tank on the right hand side, as well as the front fairing and the tail, as you can imagine as its gone down on its side. however this can be fixed by some filler and getting the areas resprayed. i also have a jar of the paint for it.

the bar end, brake leaver and indicator are scuffed and broken, however i have brand new OEM parts to replace them to go with the bike

pretty much the only thing stopping me putting this back on the road is not having the time to sort it out. its a cat C write off, what this means is you need to take it to a dvla center to get the vin number checked against the V5, and then get an MOT. job done!

im going to get some pictures up this weekend.

im looking for £1600

Ok :) Thanks for the reply. What's wrong with the front fairing? Is it broken? I also have a question about the frame - is it still straight?

Thanks!

Maurycy.

frame is perfect, i had them test it for me when they offered to repair it, but in my mind the accident wasnt my fault so i wanted everything replaced. only thing wrong is the ding.

also the front faring is still in one piece, its not broken, only slightly ground down along the leading edge where it went over, a bit of filler and flattened off and you would be away, never even know it was there

Ok, I'll take it. It will take time to repair. Hopefully next spring it will be on the road.
