View Full Version : Dry weight of the K9 Sport...
On the suzuki website the dry weight for the K9 is 199kg...
For the older models it was 160-180kgs.
Anyone know what they would have added to make it 20kg heavier!?!
Thanks

An element of truth??
Actually, after further investigation I think the UK Suzuki website has got it wrong.
This PDF (below) says that the curb weight is 196kg / 199kg (without / with ABS).

Also can make what would be a write-off bump into a non-write off one.
TBH I think that lowers on an SV are trying to put it across as something that it isn't - ie a Sports bike.
Just for interest, I took an SVS K1 curvey in for MOT today and just asked what the weight was. Can't remember exact numbers but pretty close to 50/50 front/rear and 192kg with a nearly full tank. That's with a stock exhaust, hugger and seat cowl but no pillion footrests FWIW.
