I was on my way home from work today and happily despatching cars on the A55 . The Sun was out and all was well with the world . I saw my junction coming up and moved into the correct lane to head for the final leg of the journey home . In the distance a Poxhall Corsa opened it`s window and the Chavs inside tossed out a half eaten MacDonalds into the hard shoulder . "Biodegradable (allegedly)" I thought to myself , no harm in that I suppose .......

Then , the seagulls swooped down on it , right in front of me were about 3 `gulls and a Black Bird . The last `gull came in for what remained of the spoils of roadside scavenging and it saw me and changed direction , it`s webbed feet dabbed the floor , it pounded it`s wings and turned back around into my line of travel . I blinked and thought "Uh-Oh" and ducked as far down as I could ................

Too late , there was a massive impact on my Arai and a huge "Squawk" . I felt like my head had been ripped off . In the mirrors a bundle of feathers flapped desperately to gain height and went on it`s merry way , and what do I have ? ... loadsa Pooh on my SV where the bird relieved itself :( .

Dude thats a lucky escape. My mum works as a 999 operator, earlier on in the year took a call from a motorist who had seen a pheasant fly straight into a biker. Hit his head sending him into a ditch. He didn't make it.

Personally I don't like it when people chuck things out of car windows [-X, why can't they wait until they get home or find a bin and dispose of their leftovers/rubbish bio-degradeable or not, it can be especially hazardous to other road users.

Eeeeeew you were extremely lucky that you didn't get more than just loads Pooh on your sv :D.

I hope you have cleaned the pooh off your sv :smt082 ;)

Immediately , before it had a chance to dry , inspected the Rukka and the Arai and found no un-mentionables on there so was happy with that .

Well if I had eaten a family pack of Milky Bars , 13 Herring and Half a MacDonalds then it may have been mine , cos that`s what it looked like all down the side of the bike :puker:

Filtering on the (stationary) M1 a while ago I was (probably deliberately in a rage of jealousy I think) hit by an apple core from a passenger window.

I survived, and it left no residue though I did think of stopping to break their arms and put their windows in.

It could have been worse...

You could have hit a Swan or a Rhinoceros. Rhino's are terrible and they take for ever to take flight and they do really big poos.

Blimey , I even had a complete nutjob pottering out of a roundabout today and decided to stop right across my exit to have a little think about where they wanted to really go , Brainwrongs I tell Ya ..... it`s enough to make me carry a Tazer so I can zap these moronic imbeciles with a few volts and wheel their car off the road into a ditch , thus , doing society a favour .

I was coming back from the AR this year when a car in front decided to throw an empty bottle out of the window which ended up under my front wheel on the A303. I made my thoughts known to the driver and exhibited a display which could only be described as "mentally unstable". It was soaking wet and they just didn't give a sh*t or check if a vehicle was behind them. Winkers. Perhaps in future they will think twice though.

Perhaps in future they will think twice though.

And therein lies the problem , actual thinking . These mouth breathers don`t have Two Brain Cells to rub together , it takes all their concentration to open the window and toss some rubbish out whilst yakking on their mobiles "innit" .

To be fair if it was just the 1/2 eaten burger (i.e. not the wrapping/packaging included) then as it proved, it fed wildlife ... better than it ending up in the bin ... and it won't take long before it is all scoffed up ... actually doing the world a bit of good that way surely*? ...

For sure the resulting unforeseen badger bedlam that followed was not so clever mind! ;)

*if they luzzed all the rubbish out, that is a different matter mind =;

Yes I totally agree as long as there is no-one about, even if it is a half eaten Macca's all it takes is a split second to take your eyes off the road, whether you are on a bike or in a car...
