Got this on my mini twin racer when I bought it. i assumed it was stock but closer inspection and comparing it to pics in my old mate the Haynes manual it would appear to be after market. Any body got any ideas ?

I should have attached 4 pics if I've done it right.

Cheers guys,

To me, the hooks for attaching the can with springs suggest Akrapovic, I know they're a fan of that system, but I honestly haven't seen enough aftermarket pipes to know for sure, one of the other manufacturers may well do the same.

Not OE though, you're quite right about that.

Don't think it's an Akra all the way through as it's not got the spring tangs on the cylinder header.

yes akra put the we lugs on ther system but then the link pipe could maby be a different one etc...is the rest of the pipe work defo aftermarket and not just standard stuff with a different link pipe an can???

The Akra system is a separate part at the "2 -1" collector, (at least it was on my K3) that one looks like one welded piece.

It would appear that Micron is the people's vote :D

the main pipe work looks just like my micron system on my k4 sv but the link pipe dosnt as i dont have the we lugs for the springs 2 hold the can on mine and it just looks different!

It is not an Akrapovic system, 100% sure of it.

It is a Micron system, going by the flow of the down pipes and the position of the spring hooks on the link pipe. Doesn't flow any better than OEM, was purely designed so you didn't have to cut the link pipe to fit a loud exhaust.

High lever version...

how can it not flow any better than the oem when the oem has baffling in the pipe and the micron doesn't? or is that just for sound emission purposes??

Reference Dave's pic: Yeah that looks like it.
It must flow better then stock though  ( I hope). the angle of the header coming from the front cylinder is must more curved and less aggresive than stock. The stock one is pretty much a 90 degree bend The micron looks like it's been rolled on a mandrel.

I can't be sure, but I'd say it's a motorcycle one.

The baffled section is only at the piece of the exhaust running from under the right foot peg and back. The 2-1 connection is a terrible design, also there is no cross over pipe.

or is that just for sound emission purposes?
Correct.
