Radweld!...?

I have a leaky radiator (only a bit, it looks to have been repaired in the past) I've just radwelded it but now have two questions.
1. Will radweld hold it or will I need a new rad (ooh spensive :()
2. Was there supposed to be little bits of white floating in the radweld?

I have only used radweld on a cars, once it lasted for ages another time it lasted 2 weeks before blowing again.

duno about the white bits, did you shake the bottle for 5 mins before putting in your rad and did you go for a ride for 30mins after putting it in?

I shouldn't jinx this but.........
The Cagiva VRaptor has a known problem with the rads leaking. We sent it off last year and paid a fortune for it to be repaired, only for it to start leaking again after a day. We had to go to France two days later so Im Indoors risked the radweld.........
Its held for the last 6000 miles or so, and a lot of other raptor owners have done it too, as the rads for those bikes are like rocking donkey poo!!
I think the trick is not to put too much in, so's not to block it up

It also depends whats wrong with your radiator too

you can get it properly fixed so if the radweld dosnt last you just dont need 2 go and get a new one get it properly fixed/welded tho thers not alot of places do it so you may find it hard getting it done.

It was 'pace products' that tried to fix our rad, but obviously they couldn't do it. It was properly fixed by a company that do it on a regular basis.
Even so, the radweld on ours has mended it for a bloody long time:-), and as it was a last resort, me thinks it did the job well


incidently, if we chose to get a radiator made by them, as the raptor one is so rare, it would cost us 400 quid upwards for a custom one from them..

I would do that but to be honest all the fins are b*ll*cksed so I'd probably better trying to find a good second hander. I put in about 75ml, shook it really well (ran it for a few minutes before and then ran it for 5 minutes after like it said on the bottle.hmm

I have radweld in my rad at the moment it seems to be doing the trick although i've only done about 500 miles with it so far. If not i've seen a company that do reconditioned ones for £115.

I think thats another thing they can do tho aswell they can cut sections out and new ones in etc...check it out and see if it works out cheaper 2 get your fixed up properly or is it best just buying another one.
