Stop at the border drop kegs and stick backside over border into Wales.
Do what comes naturally, pull up kegs and ride on some some of the best roads England has to offer instead.
I have no problem with south Wales. the people and police are nice, welcoming. But that excuse for a public service calling themselves heddlu mean I will never visit north Wales. So at least the roads are safe from hooligan Lancastrians

Brunstrum got something right!!! :smt026
Take in the mountain road to the Elan reservoirs - stunning!
You need to get out of Aberystwyth and up into the mountains. Take the road for Machynlleth and then for Aberdyfi and Tywyn, around Tal-y-Llyn and then up towards Dolgellau. It's fantastic. But the view coming back towards Tal-y-Llyn is even better:cool:

The A-roads are friendly and moderately entertaining, the back roads are awesomely good fun, there're some properly twisty, up and down moor roads with no dry stone walls to bounce off when you get it wrong.
Try do A494 and A487 (iirc) when there's an inch of ice on side of road ... that's properly challenging hehe.
Near aber, try the A44 if you want to mess about with knee down etc. or try go up to the devils bridge if you want some real fun. There aren't many bad roads round there, but people do live there, so don't go like a c*nt.
