Looking for opions on 520 chains for racing, what breed are you running? I'm going to buy a 520 with 45 & 46 rear sprokets and 15 & 16 fronts but don't know what breed, where to buy and how much to pay??? Do you buy o-ring x-ring?

Thanks in advance.

I use Tsubaki X-Ring Chains and Renthal Sprockets. All from B&C Express. I have 14&15's for the front and 44,45,46 for the rear. Pretty much covers everything. However remember to leave an extra link in the chain over standard Suzuki recomendations. I didnt do this and the first time I tried fitting a 15-46 it wouldnt go. Or get two chains and a breaker.

B&C will have all what you need plus they are very quick at postage! i use regina chain and renthal sprockets on my race bike.

I can't see any situation that you'd need a 16 front for as 15-44 is stock gearing and theres no reason to go taller than this even at places like Snetterton.

For track riding I'd go for a selection of 14t and 15t for the front plus 44t, 45t and 46t for the rear. This covers every combination we use in the minitwins as Sideshow mentioned above.

why use a 16-42? Surely that is the same as a 15-45?Suppose it may be better on chain wear but that is thw only benefit I can see.

Just about to order, standard chain is 110 links, will that do me? Or should I go for a longer chain?
