Dam bloody braided brake hoses, wrong length, wrong banjo bolts not enough copper washers. (Even though they were told the make of my bike, year, K5 model etc!) So sending them back, before I get sent the new ones from west Yorkshire just a few questions. Do I need any additional P clips? Does any one have any pictures of their braided hoses on their bikes?

You can stick with the standard P-clips, I added two plastic ones where the splitter used to be but it is not necessary.

I seem to remember in my hel kit I had different threads as the master cylinders had a different thread to the calipers so you have to check which is which (suzuki bike but not SV).

It is the Suzuki sv650 K5, 2 packets with banjo bolts in, 1 has 3 for front 1 has 2 for rear but they are different threads. I cant see rear cailpers and master cylinder being different thread to front?? just checking before it gets stripped? thanks.xx

The front Callipers have a different thread to the master cylinder, the master cylinder is fine pitch.

... the master cylinder is fine pitch.

I would advise you (Pam) to check if all new bolts have the same thread as the original ones before fitting.
Don't ask why

1.00 pitch on the front Master Cylinder.

1.25 pitch on the front Callipers.

soz to hijack the thread quick. but has any one elsa got renthal bars and found a way of geting around the fact that the brake lines are realy streched. can you get longer brake lines ??

'N' model lines should still fit without a problem, other than that speak to Hel.

For some reason brake lines are ALWAYS the wrong length, no matter what... The only time i've ever had a set fit first time was the random GSXR single line I've got fitted to mine- it wouldn't have fitted a GSXR of course but with the mix-bag of parts i use it's perfect. But I've variously come across three sets of HEL ones that were too long, one of which had the wrong fittings, one set of BSR ones that were too short AND had the wrong fittings, and the less said about Scooby Drew's 636 set the better- we fitted my old too-long SV lines to it and funnily enough, they were perfect. But the set he had were about 9 inches too long

I think maybe they shuffle them before they label them, just to add to the excitement.

They probably accidentally sent you a set for a K1200R or something, and by pure coincidence they were the right size- much more likely than the correct set being the right length :D
