Motosliders are one of the best on the market and are relatively cheap.

And for f###s sake speak English.

I agree from all the good comments I have heard about them, and all the horror stories of R&G's on here.

I am in the process of getting some.

yep they are brilliant. And they didn't snap off when I threw the bike down the road, they kinda ground down a bit. Gave me minimal expense to repair, without them it would have been worse.

Easy to fit apparently, and are available through ebay from SVracing parts. You can only get em from the US, Engine sliders ad swingarm bobbins come in at about £68 for the set, but they are cheaper than R&G.

The best were the JHS ones, unfortunately they are no longer available, but the Motoslider are just as good.

As Dizzy said, source them from 'SVracing Parts' on Ebay as Nate at Motosliders has yet to make another batch.

r+g worked well for me recently just a few scuffs on the fairing but no breakages even the clutch lever remained intact, the one on the swing arm wore half away too

motosliders are best for naked and half faired versions

but for faired you have to cut the fairing even thouhg you have a hole due to where they are fitted

the new R&G ones with the hefty aluminum block on each side are really good for the faired versions

Oh no not another thread with conflicting advice aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!

OK so I have a fully faired curvey 2000 and reading this Motosliders are the best but i will have to cut my fairing. R+G's are crap but I don't have to cut my fairing.

Thank goodness i am going away for 4 months tomorrow - maybe this debate will be resolved by the time I get back!!!

1. chill out
2. i am not sure you have to cut the fairings for motosliders on the curvy as i dont have one, i have a pointy ok and you have to cut the POINTY fairings

thank you .

its only those curvys that have the lower fairing added that need to have a hole cut. Standard faired curvys don't

As dizzy said above only SV's (Curvy and Pointy) with lower fairing need the fairing to be cut, can be done quite easily....
