My first bike, my '03 SV650S has gone to a new home. :smt022

She was a good girl to me. Hopefully her new owner will look after her.

Five and a half years we've been together, although we had grown apart as of late. After hours of cleaning, polishing and fettling she was nearly as good as new. Only had two viewers who both wanted it but the man with the cash deposit got it. For those of you who'd never seen any evidence of her here's a picture I took on my last ride to the garage.

Goodbye old girl.

It was actually 'replaced' a year ago with a Triumph Daytona. It's been laid up for pretty much a year since I bought the Daytona! Recently I done a camping trip on the SV and some small rides. Bloody lovely bike. So easy to ride. I'm also getting a mates older ZX6R for winter rides and wet trackdays as well as longer rides for the comfort. I cared too much about the SV to risk dropping it whereas the Ninja I don't think I will. Make sense? I'll have a good amount of change too which I'll spend a bit of on spares and maybe a chain.

It was strange watching my bike following me in my mirrors before the new owner headed home.

FFS it was only a bike!! No emotional attachment here.

He he. I know. I didn't cry or anything. It's a nice bike. My very first taste of freedom on two wheels! Some people who've been riding for donkey's years still have their first bike and I bet most people remember them fondly.

The Triumph needs the same attention I gave the SV over the past few days now.

P.S. Ed you don't even swear so stoppit.
