Evnin all, have had a bad few days of pulling my hair out with intermitent starting or bad idle with the clock needles doing a little dance. After stripping the seats off down to the main fuse/starter relay the bike would be fine and start run fine:smt089 tilll next time.

Anyway it seemed to be getting more frequent and worse when raining so had a little down time on night shift to take a closer look. It appears to be a loose/bad connection from the multiplug thingmabob to the top of the starter relay. looking at the multi plug end it seems to be a little warpped inside as if some of the connectiions have melted a little and some of the connectors look as though they are loose, is this common??? All fuses are fine.

As I tried to fit the plug again i could not get the thing to stay connected without holding it down and to the right at which point i can hear the relay 'click' and could get a short, 1 second burst of power to the starter motor. After doing this for several seconds and getting no closer I decided the battery was flat as I wasn;t getting the starter motor to turn at all only the 'clicking'. After jump starting it ( incidently from a **ck off Ambulance battery oops ) the bike now starts 1st time every time ](*,)so far.

Too scared to disturb it until I know I can replace the connections, so is it possible to get a new multi plug end or do I need the whole loom and would it be worth changing the relay also as obviously that forms the other half of the connection, but looks fine??or is there an alternative fix that improves this connection

(sorry for long post and for info its a 00' W curvy S)

Cheers Phil:D
