View Full Version : SV650 Sport K8 - Black
---SOLD---
Well, due to a possible location move, and then another move soon after, I might be all over the country for the next 6-12 months. As such I'm selling the bike.
It's got just 4k on it now, just serviced. Also has probably the only full Akrapovic system on a K8 :D:smt090at the moment. Registered June 6th I think it was.
OK For Sale: £3,600 including the nice almax chain, Givi tank bag etc.
Oh, forgot to mention it's got the rear cowling too for the rear seat.
Open to offers.
Picture a few posts down.
---SOLD---
Good effort doing 4K in 4 months :D
Not going to help resale :( as much as your Akra System :D
I think the question is would you sell it for £3500?
(sorry this is not an offer )

Oh yes I'd sell the Akra for £3,500 for sure :D
I'd hope to get a bit more than that to be honest, but it's not an End Of The World value! I'm still considering it, but let's say if someone offers £3,700 then it's gone. (I dare say that would include my stupid ass disc lock and lovely almax chain and padlock. (and the odd can off dry lube, and that lovely anti-corrosion stuff etc.)
Self-Bump to reflect status.
Meh. Hang on, I think I have a photo...
Here's one I took last weekend I think:

Hope that method of posting images is acceptable.
Regarding mileage, do you really think 4k is a lot of miles? I think it's more than doing 50 miles every weekend, but I would not say it's 'a lot of miles' by any means. Mind, most of those 4k were done riding to Luxembourg and back :/ Which means there isn't too much wear on the seat bolsters from getting in and out while doing 2 mile trips to the shops... oh hang on, it's a bike sorry! :P
Anyway I'm open to offers so thanks :)

If it had a tail tidy and a black seat it'd be perfect. Alas, i've already got a silver one, but have a free bump.
PS - price seems reasonable with a full akrapovic, and the mileage is fine, i've done 2k since June and that's mostly at 10 miles a day commute plus the odd spirited jaunt - anyone with a normal commute or who was out most weekends could clock up 4k no problem.
Over 2k in a month and a half of owning mine. :p
Nice looking bike - Looks a fair price to me, especially with the system and almax.

Sorry, didn't think about the Akra. take 30% off that, too, and add it on? but 4k is a lot of miles for 4 months, I'd say, on the motorbike scale of things...
Nope not at all, I don't get why people don't think a bike should not be rode. Long as its serviced right a bike will go for miles as has been proved.
before i binned mine i'd put on 5500 miles between late march to end of august. i dont see why its high miles if your using something that cost you nearly £4000!! plus the weather was nice during the summer, cant speak for you lot that might have got flooded ;)
good luck with the sale, its worth every bit of £3500

Why is it that numties that only ride when is dry and on a Sunday think that NORMAL use of a motorbike is excesive ?
It does annoy me that people have to derail someones reasonable tread ?
The guy is only trying to sell his bike here ? and at not an excesive price .
My god what do we do with the bikes that are over 10,000 miles .... scrap em or something ?
No we keep riding them, my mates has done 38,000 miles on an 04 and is going strong , with regular oil changes and the correct service intervals and not to much abuse they keep going. So 4000 is really a drop in the ocean.
Best of luck with the sale it looks a nice bike to me !
its prob still not fully loosened at 4k miles. lovely bike.
those miles in that time shows the owner loves riding a
fine bike if u ask me! i thought regular use was a good thing anyway
Thanks chaps :)
Maybe the guy saying 4k is a lot was just hoping I'd get scared and sell it to him for a ridiculous price.
Like when I asked a garage to value my car and after examining every single panel they said "well... it has got above average miles, so we can only really offer <insert stupidly low value>", when it had 10k more than 'average' in 4 years the tart! Of course when he showed me the car I was interested in I found it to have more panel dinks, dents and undulations than a pox ridden *****.
Anyway, yes I do love riding it, but these work people do like sending me to strange places :(

I apologise and retract everything I said. And no way could I afford your bike; well out of my league.
Have you decided if you want to sell? It looks like a lovely bike. Whats the condition like? Where are you from? Might be interested if I pass my test next week.

Evenin' Bunkers,
Yep it's for sale. Condition is great as far as I can tell hehe. It's only 4 months and a few days old, I've not reversed it into any walls or hit my shopping trolley against it :P
I'm in London Ealing now, could possibly be in Birmingham on a weekend if you do decide you're really interested, I'd have to find a less boring route up than the M40 though hehe
Good luck with your test anyway chap!
Thanks Griffo,
I'll let you know if I pass my test. Happy motorway munchin!!

Thanks - very happy and quite a change from the 125! I commute an hour each way every day, so it makes it a much more pleasant experience!
Have already ordered a tail tidy :D
Hehe good idea, everything going well then? Lots more interesting than the 125, eh :)

Yup - loving it. It's handling the commute into London much better than the 125 :)
