Ignition Key Issues

Hi guys, just started having this problem with my SV this morning.

When i put the key into the ignition from having the steering lock on it won't turn. It goes all the way in as it should and will push down like normal but i can't get the key to turn. It's happened every time I've tried today and twice i was lucky when it decided to turn (although it was very notchy and felt forceful) but just went out to the bike again and it won't turn again!

I have no idea why this is, anyone got any ideas or had this happen before?

I had that with my curvey. I had to push the key forwards a little in the lock before it would disengage the steering lock.

I get it now and again on the GSXR when the lock barrel gets dry, spray some lube onto the key and then wiggle the key in the lock and and see if that helps.

Yeah I get this, it will only turn if the key is in a certain way. Had to give it the beans with some 3 in 1 oil.

The lock can get dirty, give it a little WD40 with the key in and see how it goes. Though both my bikes I've notice can't be easily unlocked with the key if your right handed as the barrel is a touch warn to my freaky lefty turn.
