View Full Version : GSR600 headlight on a Curvy?
Can any of you tell me how I could get ahold of a GSR600 headlight assembly? I did a google search and I can't find any places that sell them as parts.
I'm thinking of putting it on my SV650s, which I am making naked. I was also thinking of putting the dash from a GSR600 on but it don't think you can get it in MPH and not KMPH.
Hi,
We have the GSR600 here in the UK, so you can definatly get mph clocks. I would suggest starting with a breakers search. People crash and blow up bikes all the time, you may get lucky. You can always check out a local Suzuki dealership?
Can't seem to find GSR600 on the parts microfiche, I must be doing it wrong

Most suzuki digi clocks will convert from MPH to KPH. Probably some sort of mad button shuffle to do it though, up down up down left right left right b a start or something. Course, that's not to say the clocks will work at all when plumbed into an SV.

On the GSXR its, set the display to show milleage ( ODO ) and then hold down adj & sel buttons at the same time till the display flicks over to KPH I'm pretty sure its the same on Liz's SV to.

The MPH/KPH shuffle only seems to be for UK spec remember - we have had people with Euro spec bikes who's clocks wouldn't do that.
Also there is not a standard connector for the different clocks - I thought about exactly the same mod on my SV, but didnt fancy hacking connectors off and soldering them back with wires in different places.
It CAN be done - BigApe has Pointy clocks on a Curvy - but its not that simple to do.
